San Ramon is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 44,722 at the 2000 census.

San Ramon is a suburb of San Francisco and Oakland. As the location of the headquarters of the company formerly known as Pacific Bell (later SBC, now AT&T), it is the home of Dilbert. (Scott Adams worked there before creating the Dilbert comic strip.) It is also home to the headquarters of Chevron Corporation and is the co-headquarters, with Oak Ridge, of IPIX.
